Ramanathaswamy Temple

The Ramanathaswamy Temple, located in Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu, is one of the most revered Hindu temples in India. Dhanushkodi

Dhanushkodi, located at the southern tip of Rameshwaram Island in Tamil Nadu, is a place of historical and mythological significance. Known as the “Ghost Town,” it was once a bustling town until it was devastated by a cyclone in 1964. Today, its serene beaches, haunting ruins, and the confluence of the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean attract visitors seeking a unique and tranquil experience. Dhanushkodi is also believed to be the site where Lord Rama built the legendary Ram Setu (Adam’s Bridge) to reach Lanka.

Ram Sethu

Ramar Padam, or Rama’s Footprint, is a sacred site located on a small hillock in Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu. This revered spot features a temple housing an imprint believed to be the footprint of Lord Rama. Pilgrims and visitors come to Ramar Padam to offer prayers and witness this divine mark. The hillock also provides a panoramic view of the surrounding area, including the beautiful Rameshwaram landscape, making it a place of both spiritual and scenic significance.

Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Memorial

Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, better known as A. P. J. Abdul Kalam who was the 11th president of India. Kalam was born and brought up in Rameswaram and became a scientist and worked for DRDO and ISRO. After his sudden demise at Shillong on 27th July 2015, he was laid to rest at Pei Karumbu, Rameswaram on 30th July 2015. A memorial has been built at the burial site. Inside, the memorial, one can see the selected photos, paintings and miniature models of misssiles etc
